Christmas 2023 

For the nativity service at Moor Street this year we had something that everyone joined in with - our regular kids and youth, families that come to The HUB, visitors and grown ups too!  Audience participation was essential!  We had a fantastic time, although for safeguarding reasons we did not record the service this year so it isn't available on our YouTube Channel.  

Princess St had a full house, and had a great time as they sang carols and included the children in a celebration of the true meaning of Christmas.

Christmas is a great opportunity to invite our friends, family and neighbours to church, and it is a really easy time to do this as people will often come to church as part of getting into the festive mood. Last year we created an opportunity for you to be able to invite people to church by having a Christmas Fayre before the Carols by Candlelight.  This was something we did together as both congregations, and the idea was to create a Christmas experience that would help people to relax, have fun and get into the Christmas mood before joining us for our Carols by Candlelight.  We were not selling anything, but rather offering hot Christmas refreshments, while carols were sung so people could enjoy the atmosphere.  Our “courtyard” used covered Gazebos, with a number of stalls that shared opportunities for people to connect, including Alpha, The Hub, Re-stART, WOW, craft activities etc.
 
We then had one Carols by Candlelight service at 4pm and so had the morning free.
